SAN DIEGO, Calif., Dec. 3, 2019 – Mortgage Capital Trading, Inc. (MCT), a leading mortgage hedge advisory and secondary marketing software firm, announced that it has been honored as a 2019 Top Workplace by The San Diego Union-Tribune newspaper.
This is the second year that MCT has won the award, coming in at an impressive number 10 ranking in the small company category within the financial services sector. The results are based solely on a scientific employee survey process conducted by Philadelphia-based Energage to determine San Diego County’s Top Workplaces.
Winners were officially announced at a ceremony on Nov. 13 held at The Pendry Hotel in downtown San Diego where local area business leaders gathered to meet the companies. In total, 2,028 employers in San Diego County were invited to take part in the process. Eligible employers needed at least 50 employees and could be public, private, nonprofit, or governmental.

This year, a record 126 employers participated in the survey process. Combined, they employ 29,778 people in San Diego County. Of those employees who received questionnaires, 17,213 responded. For this year’s winners list, 85 employers earned recognition as Top Workplaces based completely on employee feedback.
Survey responses were gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools that The San Diego Union-Tribune partnered with to conduct the survey. The completely anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, to name a few.
