SAN DIEGO, CA – September 8, 2026 – Mortgage Capital Trading, Inc. (MCT®), the de facto leader in innovative mortgage capital markets technology, announced the addition of Tom Piercy as Director of MSR Advisory. A widely respected leader in mortgage servicing rights (MSR), Piercy will work to grow MCT’s bulk MSR transactions and advance its MSR Marketplace.
Piercy brings nearly forty years of capital markets experience, the majority of it in the valuation, trading and hedging of MSRs, and most recently, President of Rocktop Capital Advisors. Throughout his career he has been a consistent, trusted voice for buyers and sellers of mortgage servicing rights.
“I love this industry and the people in it,” said Piercy. “What energizes me is spending my days talking with clients and helping them execute. After years of managing companies within the industry, I want to get back to the people in it. Bulk MSR valuation and trading is ready to move forward, and MCT has the technology, the partnerships, and the trust to lead it. I am here to help take it there.”
For Piercy, the appeal is the chance to help modernize a corner of the market that technology has been slow to reach, and to do it on a platform the industry already trusts. He points to MCT’s track record of innovation, and the depth of its technology as the reasons bulk MSR valuation and trading are ready to move forward. Piercy reflects MCT’s own approach, pairing that innovation with the advisory relationship and client experience that define every MCT interaction.
Central to that vision is MCT’s MSR Marketplace, which extends the flow and co-issue strengths of MCT Marketplace, a leading venue for whole loan and co-issue trading, into bulk MSR execution. The goal is a single platform where sellers and buyers of every size, from small and mid-size lenders to large institutional banks, integrate seamlessly and transact together, reducing the channel conflict and friction that have long limited liquidity in bulk MSR trading. Several of the industry’s leading MSR buyers are already engaged in the initiative, collaborating with MCT to build a more transparent, efficient venue for bulk MSR execution.
“The bulk MSR market may be the last frontier of this industry’s move into the digital age,” Piercy added. “Modernizing it does not mean removing the advisory relationship. Done right, technology creates greater efficiency, on demand valuation, and real-time execution with advisory built in. MCT has already achieved that, and I believe we can build on it significantly alongside our core clients and beyond to the entire market.”
Piercy will also help expand MCT’s MSR valuation and data capabilities, building a deeper repository of performance and trend analysis that serves owners of servicing, not only buyers, so clients can sharpen execution and better manage the asset over time.
“Tom is one of the most respected MSR thought leaders in our industry, and his decision to join MCT speaks to where this market is heading,” said Curtis Richins, President and CEO of MCT. “We are advancing this initiative in collaboration with many of the industry’s leading MSR buyers, who share our vision for a more efficient, tech-forward bulk MSR market. We are thrilled to welcome him to the team.”
