About the Series

These Servicing Insights are a continuing series of informative whitepapers focusing on particular aspects of mortgage servicing valuation and modeling. The series discusses issues such as delinquencies, prepayments, risks, etc. and how a servicing model and analyst of servicing ought to approach these issues.

Currently in its fifth volume, new issues are distributed on a quarterly basis. These issues are intended to inform and spark MSR strategy discussion with clients and colleagues.

Mr. Laren has 29 years experience in Capital Markets, predominantly in servicing. He is experienced in all aspects of servicing, modeling, pricing, trading, negotiating, hedging, risk analysis, accounting analysis and operations.  He is also very experienced building teams and managing traders & analysts (mostly Ph.Ds and MBAs who speak more Math than English!)

Mr. Laren holds Advanced degrees in statistics and econometrics, and created MCT’s cloud-based mortgage servicing software, MSRlive!.
