About the Webinar Presenters:

Phil Rasori, Chief Operating Officer, MCT

Mr. Rasori is a recognized thought-leader in capital markets operations within the mortgage banking community. His areas of expertise include complex financial modeling, computational dynamics, and linear programming for operational optimization. He developed the ground-breaking mortgage pipeline hedging algorithms that form the foundation of MCT’s HALO Program today. He has also pioneered several metrics that have become standard industry parlance, including “beta pull-through” factors. In addition to banking clients, Mr. Rasori has consulted with GSE agencies and the US Government on hedging best practices for community banks. Mr. Rasori has functionally led MCT operations since 2005 and ascended to his current role as COO in 2007.

Mr. Rasori is a graduate of University of California, San Diego, and holds a B.S. in Management Science.

Chris Anderson, CAO at MCT

Mr. Anderson is an experienced public and private sector manager with expertise in regulatory compliance, organizational development, project management, data systems management, professional development, and public policy analysis.

Mr. Anderson joined MCT in 2012 as a Division Manager charged with organizing and building MCT’s newly formed Outsourced Lock Desk Division.  In 2013, after successfully growing the Lock Desk Division and establishing it as the industry standard for outsourced lock desk services, he was promoted to the Executive Management Team as Senior Vice President.  In late 2015, his increasing contributions to MCT were recognized when he was promoted to his current role as Chief Administrative Officer.  Mr. Anderson currently oversees MCT’s Lock Desk Division, IT & Programming Division, and Business Operations Division, which includes: Administrative Operations, Compliance, Human Resources, and Risk Management.

Bill Berliner, Director of Analytics at MCT

Mr. Berliner has more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage and MBS markets as an analyst and trader. He has an extensive working knowledge of mortgage and MBS trading, hedging, structuring, valuation and operations. Prior to joining MCT, he worked in risk management and systems development with Thomson Reuters, Kinecta Federal Credit Union, and Manhattan Capital Markets, and also owned his own consulting practice. He served as the head of Trade Strategies for Countrywide Securities until 2008, and also held senior positions with Nikko Securities and Bear Stearns. He has written extensively on the markets, co-authoring two editions of a textbook on MBS with Frank Fabozzi and Anand Bhattacharya, and has co-authored almost 20 book chapters and published articles.

Mr. Berliner holds BA and MBA degrees from Rutgers University. He is an active member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles, and is the society’s resident expert on MBS.

Andrew Rhodes, SVP of Trading at MCT

Mr. Rhodes began his career with MCT in 2005 as the company’s first dedicated loan sale specialist. He initially created investor specific models to accurately produce market based mandatory pricing for all pricing aspects in MCT including rate sheet generation,  best executions, and fair market valuations. During the years following his hire, his role was redefined to include client pipeline risk management. Over the years he was able to grow with the company gaining skills and experience in multiple fields in secondary. He was soon after named as SVP of Trading. As a part of his daily operations he has been responsible for overseeing the risk management and loan sale execution for many of MCT’s clients. Outside of the daily operations, Mr. Rhodes has been instrumental in helping to roll out MCTlive’s MCT Marketplace among many of the other new initiatives at MCT.

Mr. Rhodes graduated from the University of California, San Diego, and holds a B.A. in Economics.

Bill Petersohn, Managing Director of Business Intelligence at MCT

Mr. Petersohn is a former director of GMAC Bank in the Bulk Acquisition Group where he was responsible for National Accounts and Bulk Sales and Operations. Mr. Petersohn has been directly responsible for developing and supporting several acquisition programs that include Assignments of Trade, Direct Trades, Bulk Purchases, Fannie Mae 3D – a joint effort between Fannie Mae and GMAC Bank, and a Conduit Acquisition strategy with Wall Street Investment Banks and REITS. Prior to GMAC, Mr. Petersohn spent eight years at GE Capital Mortgage Services as an IT auditor, due diligence coordinator and a servicing valuation analyst and servicing trader.

Mr. Petersohn is a graduate of Lehigh University where he earned a B.S. in Finance and Temple University where he earned his M.B.A.
