Mortgage Banker Announces Natalie Arshakian as 2021 Powerful Women of Mortgage Banking

SAN DIEGO, Calif., July 26, 2021 — Mortgage Capital Trading, Inc. (MCT®), an industry-leading mortgage hedge advisory firm announced that Mortgage Banker named MCT’s Director of LockCentral, Natalie Arshakian, as one of the 2021 Powerful Women of Mortgage Banking in its July magazine. Over the past decade, MCT has been lucky enough to utilize her expertise in locking, pricing, data analysis, team leadership, mentoring, pipeline building, internal process creation, risk management, and auditing.

Ms. Arshakian manages a team of several dozen lock desk analysts in MCT’s Lock Desk Division that supports over 70 national clients locking approximately $5 billion in residential mortgages per month. “It’s so great to see so many powerful and influential female leaders in our industry who can continue to inspire future female leaders,” she said of the award. “Women are natural leaders due to their empathy and resilience.”

After entering the mortgage industry in 2012, Ms. Arkashin has gone about learning about the nuances of the secondary market. She enjoys teaching and mentoring new analysts of the MCT Lock Desk and continues to be motivated by the ability to adapt and grow within the industry. She is well versed in various types of loan origination software as well as product and pricing engines, oversees recruitment, interviewing, and training of new employees, helps develop policies and procedures for new and existing clients, and writes instruction manuals for MCT employees.

“Natalie is a key member of our management team and our Lock Desk Division would not be the dominant player in the mortgage industry without her contributions,” said Chris Anderson, Chief Administrative Officer at MCT. “Put simply, she is one of those rare people that you can task with a project and know that it will be fully completed and done with excellence, every time. We are grateful to have her on our team and proud that she has been recognized by Mortgage Banker with this prestigious award.”

Mortgage Banker asked readers and mortgage professionals to nominate women deserving of the Powerful Women of Mortgage Banking award to find the most talented, ambitious, innovative and philanthropic women who are achieving excellence and making a difference in traditionally male-dominated industries. Each of the many nominations was reviewed carefully by a panel of judges and 27 winners were selected. The Powerful Women of Mortgage Banking winners can be found within a special section within the July issue of Mortgage Banker, and includes brief profiles of each winner.
