SAN DIEGO, Calif., July 8, 2021 — Mortgage Capital Trading, Inc. (MCT®), an industry-leading mortgage hedge advisory firm announced that HousingWire named MCT’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ian Miller, as one of the 50 recipients of the 2021 HousingWire Marketing Leader Award. Mr. Miller was selected for the Marketing Leader Award by a panel of industry leaders that viewed and voted on submissions before the final list was reviewed and confirmed by a committee of HousingWire editors.

In 2020, Mr. Miller’s marketing operation became key to the survival and success of lenders across the entire mortgage industry during periods of market volatility, liquidity crises and regulatory changes. In addition to acting as a key resource for the MBA’s advocacy efforts, Mr. Miller and other MCT leaders pivoted the full force of MCT’s marketing department from commercial efforts to exclusively delivering market volatility guidance to lenders. His efforts peaked with the series “Challenges & Solutions for Correspondent Lending in Crisis,” which laid out a data-driven picture of the myriad challenges facing the industry alongside potential solutions. The series attracted over 1,500 webinar attendees and 4,200 readers, from top regulatory bodies, industry associations, media, and investors down to local independent mortgage bankers.

Public MCT articles, webinars, whitepapers, and market analysis made complex secondary marketing concepts approachable and guided professionals at every stage of growth. He led his marketing team in its publishing an average of two webinars and three timely MarketFlash updates per week, in addition to a daily market commentary and a constant stream of support and communication to lender clients.
Mr. Miller remains a proud member and active participant in the Mortgage Bankers Association, the National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America, the California MBA, and the Community Mortgage Lenders of America. He was featured, along with other HW Marketing Leaders, during a session at HousingWire’s Engage Marketing conference on June 17, 2021.
