About the Webinar Presenters:

Danyel Shipley, West Sr. Regional Sales Director, MCT

Ms. Shipley has extensive experience in mortgage lending with an emphasis in capital markets. She has been in the mortgage industry since the beginning of her career, possessing 20+ years of experience. In 2018, she was honored as one of Mortgage Banking’s Most Powerful Women by NMP Magazine. At MCT in addition to expanding the West Coast territory by bringing on new lender clients she is a key contributor in promoting process improvement, supporting the development of strategic industry alliances, and effectively communicating MCT’s extensive offering of integrated hedging advisory services, software, business intelligence, MSR services, and more to clients and vendor partners. She plays an instrumental role in coordinating the annual MCT Exchange conference, which is highly regarded for its caliber of prominent attendees and renowned industry keynote speakers. She is known for her high-energy persona, passion, dedication, and willingness to mentor and help her peers be as successful as possible. She is very active in her local community, and an avid competitive sailor.

Tom Gillis, SVP, Correspondent and Subservicing Sales, TMS

Tom has been in the mortgage industry for 18 years. Early in his career, Tom developed a passion for correspondent sales and has devoted his career to this facet of the business. Tom has worked for several large Correspondent investors, including Countrywide, Bank of America, US Bank, PennyMac, and currently at TMS as SVP Correspondent and Subservicing Sales. Tom is very active in the MBA and earned his CMB (Certified Mortgage Banker) designation in 2013.

Tom is a Southern California native who decided to relocate to Denver this past summer. He enjoys working out, coaching his two children’s soccer teams, and braving the Colorado mountains during ski season.

 

Brett Taylor, VP of Pricing Analytics, TMS

Brett has devoted the last 15 years of his career to the mortgage industry, with experience in risk, operations, technology and now capital markets. He is SVP of Pricing Analytics at TMS, with previous positions at Countrywide, Bank of America and PennyMac. After spending years in different disciplines, he discovered his real passion in pricing and capital markets and continues to develop pricing strategies and reporting infrastructure in support of TMS strategic goals. Born a California Bay Area native, he now lives in North County San Diego, where he is a father of two girls and a pretend surfer.
